All about Peanut Butter: I’m Hannah,
a five second rule believer, chatterbox, and peanut butter addict! I grew up in
the Portland metro area, which means that I grew up in an environment that was
all about living green – through recycling, our landscape, and our food! My
family always experimented with new recipes to try and find meals that we could
add to our sometimes vegan, sometimes paleo, sometimes normal diet. This led to
my love of eating and cooking. The kitchen has
always been a gathering place in my home to spend time with family and eat.
This meant not only cooking healthy, balanced meals but indulging occasionally
in sweets and pizza on Fat Fridays. Along with my love of cooking and baking I
have a love for playing board games with my family, feigning artistic talent,
and watching documentaries.
All about Jam Jam or as my mother calls
me Jamie. I grew up in eastern Washington in a small farming town. Being from a
farm town I love fresh food! I’m the southern flair to Peanut Butter and Jam
Jam. I grew up canning, cooking in bacon fat, and making pies. I love beef,
fruit, and trying to be “healthy”. That’s my cooking side but I love crafting,
teaching, and family!
Wait… Wait… Wait… How in the world
did we end up here? Lets just say what happens in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas.
Both of us attended Brigham Young University- Idaho together, and were even in
the same major (maybe had a few classes together). Then in January of 2014 we
both student taught in Las Vegas, Nevada. We soon found out that we both had a
love of cooking. We also found out that we had other common interest when it came
to food, mainly that we liked to eat it. Student teaching was soon over but our
story continues in Idaho as both of us got teaching jobs there! We hope you
enjoy the combinations of our cooking styles, because nothing beats the
combination of peanut butter and jam jam.
